On July 13th, Milwaukee Beer Society will be tasting a variety of pale ales. Prior to the explosion in popularity of IPAs, pale ales were traditionally the most well-known and popular of craft beers. Of British origin, the clean hop presence and supporting malt result in what is often considered to be more balanced and accessible than modern IPAs. While the British versions tend to be maltier, the American versions are typically hoppier. We’ll taste a wide variety of both.
